Genesys Health System Agrees to Pay $669,413 Settlement in Fraud Lawsuit

The U.S. Justice Department announced Monday that Genesys Health System has agreed to pay $669,413 to settle a lawsuit alleging that the health care provider submitted fraudulent claims to Medicare. 

The Justice Department alleged that Genesys violated the False Claims Act by billing Medicare for higher evaluation and management services than were actually given to cardiology patients. To read the complete article click here.
