Rush University Medical Center to pay $1.5M to settle lawsuit

Rush University Medical Center has agreed to pay $1.5 million to settle a lawsuit alleging that it violated rules in dealings with some physicians groups, the U.S. Justice Department said Tuesday.
The lawsuit, filed in 2004, alleged that Rush violated federal Medicare rules between 2000 and 2007 by leasing office space to doctors who refer patients to the hospital. To read the complete article please click here.
