Principal David Chizewer spoke at the Eleventh Annual Taxpayers Against Fraud Education Fund (TAF) Conference on September 14th in Washington D.C. TAF is a nonprofit public interest organization dedicated to combating fraud against the Federal Government through the promotion and use of the federal False Claims Act and its qui tam provisions.

Mr. Chizewer moderated and participated in the panel titled "New Takes on Common Defenses to FCA Claims." The panel discussed how to deal with a government agency that claims to have been aware of a defendant's conduct at issue; what happens when an independent third person or someone with a particular expertise has approved the conduct at issue - such as a doctor in a medical necessity case; and new developments to the public disclosure bar doctrine.
