Goldberg Kohn is proud to announce that our clients Gloryanne Bryant and Victoria Hernandez were awarded “2026 Whistleblowers of the Year” by The Anti-Fraud Coalition (“TAF”). Gloryanne and Victoria were part of a landmark $556 million settlement with Kaiser Permanente and various Kaiser subsidiaries to resolve allegations of risk adjustment fraud in two key government programs: The Medicare Advantage program and the Affordable Care Act program.
The settlement resulted in the Largest False Claims Act settlement ever. The resolution of our clients’ unique Affordable Care Act claims is, to our knowledge, the first time that a case has been brought, litigated and settled on the basis of risk adjustment fraud in that critical program.
TAF recognized their collective achievement at its 26th Annual Conference held in Washington D.C. on October 7-9, 2026. Victoria accepted the award in person on behalf of herself and Gloryanne.
“We are quite proud that our work led to this historic outcome,” Victoria told the TAF audience. “Doing the right thing is not always easy; it’s not always comfortable, but it is always worth fighting for. We are grateful for this award and recognition.”
Victoria took the opportunity to thank the Goldberg Kohn team, including lead attorney Roger Lewis, David Morrison, Kyle Walther and paralegal Heidi Smith for persevering against “an army of attorneys” from one of the “largest healthcare organizations in the country.” She said, “Thank you so much for your unwavering support, dedication, sharing your expertise, and most importantly, just believing in us.”
Congratulations to Victoria and Gloryanne!!
